Being part of the evolution of the MP FIT brand since it began in 2011 at Birstall, I started as the first ever apprentice and have worked my way up the fitness industry ladder to the Club Manager Role.
Young some may say but with over 6 years of experience in the industry, me and my team at Birstall strive to provide a comfortable, well run gym environment where everyone feels like they can ask for help.
Member experience is our passion, ensuring all members, old and new, feel like the gym is their happy place!
My name is Philip Price I run the weightless concept and I am apart of the MPFit Team.
I make it my goal that training you do evolves around your life style and progress together to help you adapt to knew habits, weather that is changing the way you eat to implementing a sound training plan to reach your goals.
Having served in the army for 8 years, I am very keen on all aspects of fitness and nutrition.
I apply behavioural, motivational and exercise strategies to all individuals, in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I dedicate myself to each session in order to tailor to the needs of my clients, as well as motivating them to leave their exercise comfort zone, in order to achieve optimal results.
Kim Tomlin focuses on 2 aspects to help her clients.
‘Movement Coaching’: To help people to improve their movement in everyday life and sport. Kim’s passion for movement started with Primal Flow (she teaches our Saturday morning Primal Bootcamp if you want to experience some Primal Flow). This led to qualifying as a Biomechanics Coach and is able to complete a full movement assessment to see where you’re at and help you improve.
‘Fitness, Health and Well-being Coaching’. Kim’s primary client base are those looking to improve their lifestyle, to remain active and feel more confident in the way they look and feel. Not all changes are on the outside. Her passion for movement is incorporated into all her sessions, helping her clients to be more confident in their own movement capabilities. Helping them to move better, more and stronger. And not forgetting Nutrition as an important factor to better health, well-being and body composition. Her current studies with Precision Nutrition enhancing her skills to encourage her clients to embed better nutritional habits into their life, long term. Kim is also a qualified pre- and post-natal trainer if you want to look after you and your baby and train safe.

Little bit about me, very understanding and a approachable trainer here to change lives for the better and help each individual start that change. I have been in the fitness industry for 6 years and have worked with clients of different ages, backgrounds and goals.
My training style is adapted with each client, I’m not a one trick pony, I will show you how effective just using your bodyweight can be. If muscle building is your goal, I will provide you with the fundamental resistance exercises to pack size on, fitness is the goal then we will test that with a HIIT session.
I am that trainer dedicated to your goals and will do everything in my power to push you to that finish line……..its up to you now to take that first step.
My background is bizarrely the building industry. 6 years ago I had a career change and decided I wanted to get into the fitness industry after being involved in various sports for over 35 years.
I started at the Village Hotel gym as a receptionist, where i spent 2 years obtaining my level 2 & 3 fitness and PT qualifications. I was soon promoted to Group Fitness Manager and then to deputy Club manager.
My passion is Group Ex, I love teaching and have various qualifications teaching classes.
When I applied to MPFit last year i needed to progress my career and become a club manager. It is undoubtedly THE best decision I have ever made. MPFit is completely different to any other gym have trained in, and since I have been training since I was 13, that is a lot of gyms. Its friendly, the staff and members are amazing and you never feel out of place. Its a fun place to exercise.
When we opened Brighouse in February 2017 I wanted to create the same energy and ambience as Birstall and i believe i have. I have never been prouder to be the club manager at MPFit because me and my team have created the perfect gym. Everyone is made to feel welcome, members enjoy coming here, they get results, they have fun and most of all they create the family atmosphere that a lot of gyms are lacking.
I embrace feedback be it good or bad, we aim to keep members happy, I’m always here to listen and feel i’m approachable.
From a young age I have always pursued elite level performance. After playing professional rugby from the age of 16 sport has always been my main passion. Alongside my athletic interests I made the decision to educate myself on the theory behind exercise performance, as a result I know hold a degree in Sport & Exercise Science and a Masters in Sports Physiology. My main areas of study were sports nutrition, exercise and muscular metabolism and biomechanics. Alongside my degree I also became a lead strength and conditioning intern working with a range of professional sports clubs and individual athletes.
A string of severe injuries forced me to retire from rugby and as a result I pursued other outlets…. my new passion now lies within strength sports where I have become an international level Powerlifter.
After leaving university I became qualified as a personal trainer where I can now use my practical and theoretical knowledge to help people achieve their fitness and nutritional goals. I have experience working with a wide range of people and as a result I have learnt a great deal how to adapt my coaching approach to suit the individual.
As a trainer I am constantly developing all aspects of my coaching practice to genuinely make a difference and help people by ensuring they are educated in developing a maintainable and happy lifestyle.

I am currently a personal trainer based out of MPFit Brighouse.
My background…………..5 years ago I was 2 dress sizes bigger and couldn’t fit into my work clothes, so I decided I needed to change my way of life. I joined a gym.
This was difficult for me so I invested in a Personal Trainer.
I tried various gyms, tried lots of unhelpful trainers, who were more interested in money than me, then I joined MPFit and found a personal trainer who was great. Once I found this trainer I became addicted to the training, I became more knowledgeable and decided to have a career change.
I am now fitter, stronger, happy and a whole lot healthier and am very aware of the struggles people have coming to the gym and starting their fitness journey. That’s where I come in.
I help people overcome their fear, overcome their insecurities and overcome the first hurdle of putting a foot in the gym.
I love helping people and get a buzz when my clients hit their goals, even if that is coming and training on their own.
I make workouts fun and different and also have lots of little tricks for getting yourself into the gym, because sometimes that can be just as difficult as completing a workout.

Nick has gained almost 20 years’ experience and knowledge with successfully coaching numerous people in reaching their fitness goals, a background in amateur boxing, competing at club and championship level. He currently competes in powerlifting and has a passion for all things strength, health and performance that spans nearly 30 years. And with a commitment to continual development as a coach and trainer, with influences such as; Mark Rippetoe, Jim Wendler, Mark Bell, Paul Check, Gary Taubes and Geoff Thompson, Nick strives to better not only himself, but all those he helps.
Chris has spent the past 9 years in the health and fitness industry developing his Personal Training background, whilst working as a Specialist Biomechanics Coach, and gaining a Masters Degree in Osteopathy.
Chris has a fresh approach to therapy and combines all his skills and knowledge to best suit the client/patient in front of him. His enthusiasm to learn and help others improve their movement capacity means he loves a challenge as it only helps improve his learning curve and ability to help others later down the line.
Therefore, combining his therapy and fitness coaching backgrounds provides a solid knowledge base to be able to integrate and provide the best outcome for his client/patient.
As a competitive triathlete himself, his primary client base includes: cyclists, runners, and triathletes. Having worked with numerous GB level athletes, Chris understands the stresses that are involved in top level sport, and helps develop strategies to aid performance.
Chris has presented at numerous high profile conferences and trade shows, on subjects including: flexibility, biomechanics, and modern pain science.
Chris is also a tutor for Biomechanics Education, Body Type Nutrition, and Movement Therapy Clinics. He has a passion for educating others to aid their understanding of human movement, performance, injuries, and pain.
